Ian is 10 months old today and he's just getting more and more awesome everyday. Since his birthday anniversary fell on a Saturday, we took pictures in our PJs.
I finally captured his "stinky face," which he seems to make when he is concentrating on something or trying to figure out what we said:
It is so amazing and wonderful watching him grow up. I think he'll be taking his first steps soon.
I am a working mother of a 4 year old boy conceived through IVF/ICSI and a 2 year old daughter conceived through a FET. This blog relates my journey through infertility, pregnancy, birth and raising my children.
March 2008 - Head to OB/GYN right away based on my sister's history of infertility and my age.
March 2008 - Blood tests and HSG show that I'm mostly okay (blocked fallopian tube and polycystic ovaries); Ultrasound shows that I do not have the same condition as my sister (unicornuate uterus).
April 2008 - SA with regular doctor reveals abnormal morphology.
April 2008 - Meet with RE who has husband repeat sperm analysis - Find only 1% morphology with Kruger assessment.
May 2008 - Start IVF/ICSI cycle.
June 2008 - 8 eggs retrieved, 4 eggs mature, 4 good quality embryos. Transferred single 6-celled embryo on day 3.
July 2, 2008 - HPT very faintly positive 11 dpo.
July 7, 2008 - beta HCG 164 at 16 dpo.
March 15, 2009 - Due Date.
March 15, 2009 - 5 am. Water broke.
March 16, 2009 - 6 am. Son born by emergency C-section after 26 hours of labor. 8 pounds, 6 ounces.
May 2010 - Get serious about TTC #2.
June/July 2010 - FET #1 (transferred single 8-celled embryo) results in BFN.
August/September 2010 - FET #2 (transferred single 6-celled embryo) results in BFP 11 dpo!!!!
September 7, 2010 - beta HCG 147 at 15 dpo
April 25, 2011 - 4:26 pm. Daughter born by unscheduled (but non-emergency) C-section at 37 weeks after major bleed from marginal placenta previa. 6 pounds, 5 ounces. Hooray for perfect healthy baby!
